All this cycling, though fantastic and tons of fun, did not come with a whole lot of balance. And swimming (and seeing friends and doing housework) have lost out. And with that, my hopes of really finally and for-real this time racing the See Jane Tri fizzled.
Or did they? I've raced relay legs of triathlons before, and it's tons of fun. Last year, I Sherpa'd for a friend at this same race, and I liked the vibe - and the views - so much that I promised I'd be back to race it myself this year. And then cycling called. As did full-time employment. And I jumped head first into insanity of my own choosing. But there's still the duathlon, right? That would be just as good as the tri.

So I'll either be slowly racing the See Jane Tri & Du on Oct. 5, or I'll be riding the short course at Levi's Grand Fondo. While I sit here and try to make a decision, you are free to take advantage of a 10% discount to the triathlon and duathlon. It's a sprint with a mostly-flat bike course, a nice trail run, and a lovely lake. Wanna go? Register here with the code AMBTRI and let me know if you're coming. Maybe that will help me make up my mind.
